SUZANNE DEPOE - OWNER, AGENT
Suzanne DePoe has extensive experience representing the creative talents
who transform words into images. CTI represents both above and
below the line clientele with focus on a long term goal of setting up
television and film projects for the international market along with a
select group of authors.
A literary agent for more than 20 years, Ms. DePoe has put her mark on
many key industry organizations. A founding member of the Talent
Agents and Managers Association of Canada, she was also the first
president of Toronto Women in Film and Television. Further, she
was a founding member and first General Secretary of the Association of
Canadian Film Craftspeople. She has been generous in her support
of the industry, designing seminars and producing books to nurture
emerging talents. This work has been sponsored by such disparate
groups as Telefilm Canada, the Association of Candian Publisher's and
the Toronto International Film Festival.
Formerly a partner at WCA Film & Television (1999-2003), Ms. DePoe was instrumental in putting book to film deals
together for such authors as the late Timothy Findley, Robert Hough (The
Confessions of Mabel Stark), Rohinton Mistry (a Fine Balance)
and Booker prize winner Yann Martel (Life of Pi). In
2003, she returned to her own agency where she continues to represent
writers, directors, producers and directors of photography.
